What an Evidence Check may examine

The exact checks depend on what you submit. SafeResponses separates direct observations, technical signals, pattern analysis, and unknowns instead of presenting a guess as a verified fact.

Websites and links

  • Submitted destination and HTTPS formatting
  • Public DNS availability
  • Public RDAP registration date when available
  • Punycode, numeric-address, and domain-pattern warnings
  • Comparison with the claimed sender name

Email and phone

  • Email syntax and public MX records
  • Supplied From, Reply-To, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC header signals
  • Phone format, carrier, and line type when lookup is available
  • Explicit warnings that caller ID and supplied headers can be forged

Offers and payments

  • Urgency, secrecy, credential, and remote-access requests
  • Payment-method reversibility and purchase protection clues
  • Off-platform and advance-payment patterns
  • Category-specific seller and job-offer warning signs

Who can see submitted evidence

Submitted text and screenshots are processed by the SafeResponses review system and may be seen by an authorized human reviewer who needs them to complete the service. They are not public, are not placed in advertisements, and should never contain passwords, authentication codes, full card or account numbers, government identifiers, medical records, addresses, or identity documents.

Technology-assisted, with named purposes

SafeResponses uses contracted providers for hosting and storage, customer authentication, payments, email delivery, AI-assisted analysis, public DNS information, and optional phone intelligence. Providers receive only the information needed for their role. Review content is not intentionally sent to advertising measurement.

Technology can help organize evidence and recognize patterns, but it does not replace human judgment or independent confirmation through an official channel.

What a report cannot guarantee

An Evidence Check is an evidence-based risk opinion—not certification, a background check, law enforcement, or proof that a person, company, website, product, job, or transaction is safe or fraudulent.

  • SafeResponses does not log in, purchase, transfer funds, or contact the submitted party.
  • Submitted websites are not opened or interacted with during the public-record domain check.
  • Identity, ownership of goods, recruiter employment, photo originality, and future delivery may remain unknown.
  • Public registration, phone, DNS, and email data can be missing, stale, privacy-redacted, or incorrect.
  • No absence of warning signs should be interpreted as a guarantee of safety.
